Alumnus Spotlight: Mickey-Miles Felton ’63
Mickey-Miles Felton ’63 started playing lacrosse at Cheshire Academy in 1963 and his love for the game has led to a lifetime of involvement, including plans to volunteer at the 2025 JCC Maccabi Games® near his Tucson home this summer.
The games, which will take place from July 27 through August 1, will bring together Jewish teenagers from across North America, Israel, and around the world to vie for victory in a multi-sport competition. The event also features the Access Games, a series of competitive events for athletes with developmental disabilities.
The Games are expected to draw more than 1,500 visitors to the Tucson area.
Felton, who played for legendary CA Head Coach Stewart Lindsay, served as head coach to the U.S. West Lacrosse team at the 1984 Olympic Demonstration in Los Angeles, and he was recognized with the Sport Club Coach of the Year Award by the University of Arizona in 2002. Founder of the Tucson Lacrosse Club, he is so prominent in the sport that the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League renamed their trophy the “Mickey-Miles Felton WCLL Championship” in 2006.
At the 2025 Games, Felton will assist in a range of activities, including handing out medals at events and greeting participants at Maccabi headquarters.
