Cheshire Academy hosts special Community Weekends that transcend the traditional academic experience and contribute to the development of a stronger, more inclusive school environment. Required for both faculty and students, these enriching events bolster the core values that define us: a sense of belonging, active engagement, collaborative spirit, and personal and collective growth.
Community Weekends are mandatory for all students and faculty, and are considered “closed” weekends in order to foster a sense of connection, collaboration, and collective growth. No leave requests will be approved during Community Weekends.

Community Weekends offer unique opportunities for connection and shared experience. Boarding students must remain on campus for the duration of these weekends. Day students are required to attend all mandatory activities, usually taking place on both Friday and Saturday of each Community Weekend. While day students are encouraged to participate in as many of the weekend’s events as possible, they may leave campus upon completion of all mandatory activities.
