Afternoon Program

The program offers a performance opportunity every season. The fall play, winter musical, and spring student-devised production allow students of all experience levels to explore all aspects of theatre creation on the CA stage.

Beyond the actors, singers, and dancers in front of the curtain, students also contribute behind the scenes through costume design, scenic design, run crew, lighting design, sound design, stage management, and student direction.

There are internship opportunities for experienced students looking to lead in the categories of directing, costuming, and technical design.

Costume Shop

Cheshire Academy’s costume department provides students with an exciting hands-on experience, blending creativity with collaboration. In this supportive and welcoming space, students explore the historical and thematic elements of each production, discovering how costumes play a crucial role in shaping characters, stories, and identity. With opportunities to develop technical skills like sewing and design, students are encouraged to express their individuality while working together to bring their ideas to life through the art of visual storytelling.
