Partnership with Uwill offers teletherapy and crisis support for students at the Academy
NATICK, MA— February 6, 2024 — Cheshire Academy, today, announced a partnership with Uwill, the leading mental health and wellness solution for students, to enhance the existing counseling capabilities with expanded counseling and a crisis connection. Uwill’s proprietary technology facilitates immediate appointments with licensed mental health counselors based on student needs and preferences and offers students a direct connection to a licensed therapist trained in trauma 24/7/365.
“Addressing mental health needs is crucial for student well-being and long-term success, both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Colleen Scaife, School Counselor and Health and Wellness Programming Coordinator at Cheshire Academy. “Offering accessible resources ensures that every student has the tools they need to manage stress and maintain a healthy balance in their lives.”
Cheshire Academy is dedicated to providing resources for student health and well-being. The Counseling and Wellness Center at our Richmond Health Center offers a host of supports for both day and boarding students and adding Uwill’s services is another complement to the Academy’s holistic approach.
Students have free, immediate access to mental health support through Cheshire’s partnership with Uwill, and can book a teletherapy appointment in minutes using their school email address. Additionally, students choose a therapist based on their preferences, at a time that suits their schedule, and with the appointment type they feel most comfortable with (video, phone, chat, or message). Students also have free access to on-demand wellness programming through Uwill including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 833-646-1526 for help 24/7/365 (for a medical emergency, call 911).
“Providing students with a comprehensive mental health solution is critical in today’s fast-paced world,” said Michael London, Founder and CEO of Uwill. “Young adults increasingly need tools and guidance to navigate their academic journey and the complexities of modern life, and Uwill is honored to be able to provide that support.”
Utilizing its proprietary technology and counselor team, Uwill pioneered the first student and therapist matching platform. The solution offers an immediate appointment with a licensed counselor based on student preferences, all modalities of teletherapy, a direct crisis connection, wellness programming, realtime data, and support.
