Third visit day planned to highlight signature academics, support, and more

Interest was so high for the 2025-26 year and beyond that a teeming waitlist prompted numerous individual visits and further opportunities for families to get to know the school, like the Academy’s third Open House on Monday, January 20. Registration is open now for that opportunity, said Sheryl Stearns, senior associate director of admission.
“We’re pleased to welcome so many families and personally show them how special Cheshire Academy is,” she said after the Nov. 11 Open House. “Visiting campus and having a chance to chat with our students and faculty gives you a real feel for the Cheshire Academy difference.”
Open House attendees discovered the many components that set the Academy apart for a continually growing number day and boarding students. The 2024-25 academic year opened with a robust student enrollment number of 373, alongside a record high of inquiries about the school, indicating widespread interest in all Cheshire has to offer.
One of the oldest boarding schools in the country, Cheshire Academy is the only Connecticut independent school offering a full International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme, providing students a high-quality, wholistic education. In addition, the Academy’s signature Roxbury Academic Support Program develops proactive, knowledgeable, and independent learners.
