Cheshire Academy celebrates International Education Week
November 21, 2019
The Arthur Sheriff Field House was transformed into an international fair on Wednesday, Nov. 20, as part of Cheshire Academy’s way of celebrating International Education Week.
One World Different Cultures Day provided students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to receive a better understanding of different cultures from around the world. The annual event is just one day of many used to prepare those on campus for living and working in a global environment.
Dancers from the Bollywood Dance Studio performed for the student body, educating them not only on Indian dance, but also on aspects of Indian culture. After a brief show, students were invited to the dance floor to learn some of the group’s moves.
At the fair, students spoke with different community service organizations, as well as faculty members and students who have taken trips to various countries; learned more about some of the clubs offered at Cheshire Academy by speaking with group members; and tasted some delicious international desserts and beverages.
