Everything added up this year for the Cheshire Academy Math Club, as the team placed fourth among New England independent schools in the 2021-2022 New England Mathematics League.

Results for the league’s final contest were announced in April. Cheshire Academy also finished top in New Haven County, top in the state of Connecticut, and eighth in New England, with a cumulative final score of 148 points.

James Guo ’22 finished the league tied for 22nd in the region, with a total score of 31 out of 36 points.

The NEML consists of teams from public and independent schools throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. A total of 33 schools in Connecticut competed in the league this year.
